It is important to me that I create a safe, warm and welcoming environment for you to be yourself. I know that sometimes we can feel like the world is against us. This can be really difficult. I hope that my relaxed and comforting manner will allow you to feel comfortable in opening up and talking about whatever it is that you want to at a pace that is unique to you. I hope that this will help you to make sense of what's happening inside and around you so that you can feel better about it.
I work as a counsellor using a Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT) approach as well as one that is Integrative. This draws on techniques from different types of therapy to tailor an approach specifically for you. I may use elements of a Person Centred, Psychodynamic or Transactional Analysis. We would discuss in our first session whether a CBT or Integrative approach might be best for you.
I will not judge you. I believe we are all complex individuals and recognise the differences in all of us. I know it can be difficult to know if you have found the right therapist for you.
